shooters dont brag about their kills.is that what your saying? dont kid yourself mate.oh and i have no probs with shooters.but to say you have more respect for your quarry than anyone else is pretty

people who run dogs act like they own the f*cking hares is anyone stupid enough to think the sun is a non fiction paper   whats wrong with shooting them, like the ones below

the problem is that the majority of people on here see the hare as the ultimate survival expert, using speed, brains, agility and stamina to outwit and in some cases outrun its predator and imo all thes

In danger my hole.

I could name dozens of moors that you practically trip over the tick ridden b*****ds.

Love to know where they get this data from, afterall the sun is widely known for its realistic true articles

as is many of the newspapers mate

Just havin a laugh mate.

It is right enough though, alot (most) decent grouse moors have caught on to the fact that hares carry tick which has numerous problems for grouse.

1. Ticks can overwhelm young chicks often causing death.

2. Ticks can cause audult birds to loose condition and fail to rear young.

3. Ticks can carry louping ill virus that has 80% mortality in grouse and other bird species.

4. Hares spread tick throughout the moor and cause problems in other areas.

5. They graze on young heather which can be problematic for moors with poor heather regeneration.

6. As a wild mammal they cannot be used as 'tick mops' as they cannot be treated like sheep.

These are some of the reasons keepers are coming down on white hares hard(particularly the louping ill one), and population controll of white hares is a crucial part of upland keepering.

They can have multiple litters of young a year (like rabbits) so without proper management their populations can reach unbelievable densities (hence 600 hare driven days etc).

Their is NO chance they will become 'extinct' in the forseable future.

Besides that, there no match for a good dog, there soft as shite and run like forest gump.

So ive been told :whistling:
