hells bells or not

hi may be this has been asked be for but dose anyone use bell on there collars, just for that littel bit more signal that your ferret just poped up ,and you aint seen it, or is it just another thing to snag in the net , roots , ect, as i was thinking about adding one to my mk3 collar, or is this sumthink you only do when ferreting around chrismas time

before we had locators we used bells but the hole in the casing always got filled up with mud so you couldnt here it half the time.

I don't see why a bell cant be a useful addition with a collared up ferret .. only obvious things I can see rendering it useless is it becoming clogged up with dirt & not working properly

may be tape it up or tape over the slit

Maybe stop worrying wait a few weeks more and get your ferrets out , sure anyone who cares about there animals worrys a touch when they don't show but hay it's all part of the game if your that worried get a locator

I dont use bells, I like my ferrets to be able to here rabbits moving around, and would'nt like to give the rabbits the advantage of knowing where my ferrets are, but if you fancy a collar bell, then crack on
