great morning out

[rabbit.slayer.no.1 3]

i went out to the local rabbit feilds got out for around 4 but to dark still, so we had a walk around to see if there was any near the street lights to get, but still no sign , so went and sat in a bramble bush and waited 30 mins but still no rabbits. so we walked up to the next feild and there they where bunnys every where , so i got abit closer and looked throw the scope a nice big fat ginger looking bunny , but didnt see the brown one behind it. the ginger one bolted and only left the other one sat looking around but it was to late , pop pellet to the back of the head . so i ran over to get it a spooked about 12 others over the feild. put it in the bag and off i went to walk the other feild my mate took a shot at one but missed by inches . then i spotted one hinding behind a tuft of grass so i ducked down and made my way closer. and pop there is the second one in the bag , as we were walking back to the jeep i also shot two woodies nice clean shots . the first one i had to climb throw 6 foot high brambles and thorny bush and the second one as so fell in to brambles but thats life , waste not want not . plus its feeding my ferrets for the next week ... :boogie:

I know what you mean about having to climb through thorn bush's NOT FUN at all that bit!

 

Still worth the effort for a Woody as the meat is amazing when cooked right

just waiting for the pic's from a mate off his camera. so they wont be to long . just got up to find 6 X 1/2" thorns sticking out my legs off all the bush the day lol.
