Looking very nice mate, excellent progress, you have worked hard on that mate

Realy like the shape of her.

 

Doing all that by hand is bloody clever mate.

 

 

 

You inspired me to have a go at it too James, I asked the mod's if they would put a pinned thread up to keep all the pic's and info, to save it getting lost.

 

Sean kindly did it for us, so if your up for it, post your write ups and pic's in there, it may help others who fancy a bash at it.

 

I have put the pictures of my Plank on there mate

Very nice mate. Little and often, make sure you dont cock it up at the last minute.

 

Just out of interest, does it weigh much less than your old stock?

Got a nice piece of ash timber and started to go to work on making my own custom stock. Timber = 26x7x3inchs , drawm design on card, cut out and templated on timber, sawing and chisiling away, will keep you all updated via these means on how its coming along, will try upload photos along the way.

good luck with the project mate, if you havent already used one i cant praise these sanding disks enough, to fit on a grinder there great for shapeing last for ages and take wood of in short time,

you can pick them up anywhere

I'm in the process of moving home at the moment, removals came yesterday, got a wedding to go to on Saturday, ferry to Germany on Tuesday and removals don't arrive til the 6st so no work on the stock for a couple of weeks or the wife will have my guts for garters! !! Lol
