Budget lamping kit?

Hi All,

 

I am after a budget lamping kit suitable for sub 12ft/lbs hunting. I have heard Tesco did a mag light style torch which people have used to some effect. I was wondering what set ups people use? I would love a Deben Tracer but given the times I cant afford. Any advice on cheap rigs would be great.

The Tesco one was hyped up a bit

 

I got one and in built up environments it was superb but out in the field it was seriously crap!

 

Then SpikeBlue on here suggested an Ultrafire Cree jobby from eBay

I took his word for it and purchased a 300 lumen job for a few quid. I've been using it a year now and its never let me down in the field.

If you check out the Deben Ledray, its virtually identical but twice the light output and throw and its a fraction of the cost of the deben ledray

Try to get the 300 lumen or above.

Utrafire 501b , excellent for the money, about £12 delivered from dealextreme,

 

can take about 3 weeks to be delivered though.
