mikeyblue 28
Hi All, I am after a budget lamping kit suitable for sub 12ft/lbs hunting. I have heard Tesco did a mag light style torch which people have used to some effect. I was wondering what set ups people use? I would love a Deben Tracer but given the times I cant afford. Any advice on cheap rigs would be great. Kind Regards, Mikeyblue. Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
The Tesco one was hyped up a bit I got one and in built up environments it was superb but out in the field it was seriously crap! Then SpikeBlue on here suggested an Ultrafire Cree jobby from eBay I took his word for it and purchased a 300 lumen job for a few quid. I've been using it a year now and its never let me down in the field. If you check out the Deben Ledray, its virtually identical but twice the light output and throw and its a fraction of the cost of the deben ledray http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ULTRAFIRE-TORCH-501B-CREE-250-LUM-SWITCH-BATTERY-MOUNT-/250658420448?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item3a5c67f6e0 Try to get the 300 lumen or above. stealthy1 3,964
I use the X-Verminator gun torch, and I've whacked stacks of bunnies with it, think it was thirty quid, and twenty quid for a charger and six batteries Quote Link to post
ponte 222
Utrafire 501b , excellent for the money, about £12 delivered from dealextreme, can take about 3 weeks to be delivered though. Quote Link to post
