Hi All... Congrats to Tony on his trophy. Got a HW95K,is it worth trying to fit a bipod to it? Which one,and how would I fit it? Dont mind driilling the stock if needs be. Had a look about but I got a clue. This is my 1st proper rifle,Im used to buying cheap chinese and sticking a washer in... Any help much appreciated,Rob.

Thanks Bob,

You can add a bipod, but the problems arise when you zero it.

The springer likes to move in its own free ways (usually forwards and backwards)

If you add a pod to it, the thing is very likely to jump upwards and off to one side, as well as forward and backwards.

This itself is not a problem once you have worked out your zero properly when shooting from the pod.

BUT when you try to shoot in any other position, your rifle will go its own merry way again and your going to miss the target by quite a margin.

So I would deffinately avoid putting a pod on a springer.

Like I advised SS above; fill something with sand or those polystyrene balls or something along those lines, that way you get to shoot prone and the springer will be allowed to go its own way with the recoil just as if it does when shooting from any other position.
