Davy T 3
HI Guys....right here we go could people put their views on here as to when does a stock which has been rebuilt into a left hand stock ....not become a proper left hand stock .....silly question i know but i have been havin a bit of banter with another forum member stating that my custom rebuilt (hw95 original stock)stock is not a true left hander....so without mentioning any names....slingshot maybe you would like to start this off by telling me what a true left hand stock is.....these are pics of the gun in question pic 1 left hand side pic 2 right hand side Your opinions are greatly appreciated cheers Davy Quote Link to post
slingshot82 32
Haha, Alright. A true left hand stock is exactly that - A LEFT HAND STOCK. Not an ambidextrous stock that has been adapted/modified to be left hand biased. A left hand stock has the cheek piece on the right hand side, not the left or both sides. Im not arguing that your stock on the 95 isnt left handed. You can see in the pic that the thumbhole is cut for the left hand, But it doesnt change the fact that the stock is just a modified ambi! rossy08 33
well my ten pence worth on this would be. there are 3 types of stock left handed right handed ampidexturous (have no idea how to spell that) weather reworked or not, it one or the other.. just my thoughts. Andy Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Looks of the pix, it looks to be a possibly modified ambi to me as there is a cheek piece on both sides, but one has been cut out? I would say that a left handed stock would have the cheekpiece/comb on the left hand My own personal preferance for a stock would be for an ambi so I can shoot from the right hand side or the left. Phantom The cheek piece on a left handed stock should be on the right hand side of the stock, so your left cheek rests on it. Kyle Quote Link to post
