Just wondering whats the most popular trap.

TALPEX FOR ME EVERYTIME,

Have used duffus without much success, compared to the Talpex and use quite alot of the fenns.

just down to personal preference I suppose.

bit of everything for me they all have their places in the bag, but mainly use the flatpack

Mate, you choose the trap for the terrain. Talpex, duffus style and scissor type are ALL good and all have a different role to play. You simply cant just use one type unless you only ever trap one type of land.

Often don't know till I've dug the hole . Sometimes you just get a "feeling " that tells you to which one to use .

I have only been trapping for around a year and only use flatpacks never yet had a siuation where the tunnel was not suitable. What in your opinion would be a situation where a tunnel trap would not work.

ok i suppose so but i have never been called to trap moles under paving slabs most farms up north just use grass.

Your tunnel traps would not work well in Ilkley, Steeton/silsden, Keighley, Skipton and local surrounding areas.

 

However my traps work in most situations within these areas and have worked well for a good number of years.
