They were in East Anglia but MAFF (remember when it was called MAFF?!) claimed to have wiped out the population in the winter of 1989. The official position is that there isn't a wild population of Coypu in the UK.

WELL LADS ,

 

AN OLD FRIEND OF MINE WHOS NOW WELL INTO HIS 70s , CAUGHT LOADS OF THEM WITH THE TERRIERS ......... AND DIDNT THINK MUCH OF THEM AS A QUARRY ....... HE STILL HAS THE MASK OF HIS FIRST CAUGHT ON HIS WALL .

 

THEY DO SAY THERES STILL A FEW ABOUT

the nutria is not a heavy game for the dogs but there teeths can be make a lot of damage on the dogs

but here you see 2 photo's of the nutria i get in germany

 

oja before you hunt the nutria you must get yourself some of that safty collars like you see here in my dogs
