I think we can safely say we have missed the possibility of mating cuckoos but maybe a pair or a young and old bird would be possible. I have never taken a photo of one, they are pretty secretive - the males are easier to find for obvious reasons though OTC Quote Link to post Share on other sites
blacktabs 3 Posted June 23, 2010 Report Share Posted June 23, 2010 Ten years back i used to fish a gravel pit for weeks at a time cuckoos would come in the trees right where we fished saw plenty of displaying etc no mating though but they have a very varied amount of calls from croaking to laughing noises suprised me as id only heard them cuckoo and hiss before. My old mate had one in a cage in the kitchen for years nasty thing never did tame up atb. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
