Yep me from Mansfield why mate?

Si

I've just recently bought my first air rifle and living in Nottingham. I would like to meet up with some established air gunners who can help me along. Does anyone know of any clubs in or around the area, or does anyone have a bit of land they shoot on and dont mind a slight novice coming along? I've asked permission from a local chap who was very helpful and told me he would get back to me. I'm now just trying to meet up with some experienced people to chat to and get advice off.

Oh how rude of me

:welcomeani: to the forum Morgz

I picked up all my hunting advice from people on here and some DVD's

There a bunch of good people on here (mostly), you will get to know the regulars such as myself, Si (Zini) Davy, Stealthy, Sweeny Todd, oh bugger it there aint enough time in the day to mention all the good guy's.

We'll help you out as much as we can with advice and I dare say that someone will offer practical help as well as I'm sure there will be someone local to you on here somwhere.

What Rifle have you gone for?

Hey mate, cheers for the welcoming.

It's an Hatsan mod 80 ( I think ) paid £180 for it brand new from the shop but spent £280 all together on scope and silencer n carry case etc.

Iv had 6 pidgeons with it so far. If i get into it properly and can get enough places to go shooting Iv got around £1,000 to spend on a pcp.

Any idea's for the best pcp mate?

you got many rifles your self?

Yes welcome to the forum. And to your question about whats the best pcp, Most pcp's shoot the same its just personal pref e.g. what trigger you like, how many shots it can hold, carbine or standard, and even what gun sholders best for you  Just remember if you see a gun you like dont just go and bye it and hand over your hard erned cash, Look arround and take your time.

Hi again Morgz :gunsmilie:

I've noticed a fair few people are turning to the Hatsans  I love the positioning of the safety on them  and the polymer body styling.

6 Pigeons your already outshooting me on them :clapper:

I have an Air Arms S200 (my Baby) designed for high end target work, Powered up for hunting :notworthy:

I have a lower end (but just as deadly as the top end guns) SMK XS19 Springer (The Beast) and I also have a bit of an antique ASI/Gamo Sniper with a 30 shot magazine, good for plinking and knocking over mice rats and ferrals in confined places.

Thinking of taking it with me next time I go shooting for the cheeky fecking kit that came up and sat on my boot :icon_eek:.

I have seriously reduced my collection of pistols and am now left with two for target work.

:hmm: The HW40 may be an option for that cheeky kit
