THE GRIFF 8
I have a mother with 3 kits that are 6 weeks old and am wanting to seperate the mother for a couple of weeks before I let the kits go. I have another hutch with 2 jills in and another hutch with a snipped hob in(he was only snipped a week agao and wont be shooting blanks for another 4 weeks). I have tried putting the mother in with the 2 jills for 10 minutes but they keep attacking her neck, is this normal and will they stop once they are used to her or shall i put her back in with the snipped hob as she isn't in season. Leave her where she is .. if you stick her in with the hob he will be at her all the time even though she isnt in season Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Up to you, but I like to leave my kits in with the jill until they're 8 weeks old, then I would put the mother in with the other two jills and keep an eye on them, if the other two jills hav'nt had kits, then they will drag your other jill around for a bit, and sometimes even while they have kits, but it wont do her any harm, and believe me, you will know if they dont get on if thats what your worried about Quote Link to post
The one 8,555
Put her in with the hob see if he tries to mate her .if he doesn't and your happy your kitts are eating fine by themselves run them on for another two weeks by themselves thats what i do why run your jill down if you dont have to Quote Link to post
