Out and aboutl

The Mrs had a group of her friend round today to talk about her mates hen night, and yup, you guessed it, I was'nt hangging around to listen to that din :D I decided to dump the dogs today and just have a look around some woodland on one of my permissions, I had wood pigeons in mind, as every time I drive past this wood there's 50 or so flapping at each other in a tall set of trees, on getting out of the car I could here them cooing, I was rubbing my hands together at the thought of knocking down a good bag of woodies, as I want to try the pigeon recipe that was featured in on of the airgun magazines a couple of months ago, cant remember what it was called, anyway, the thought was short lived as the canopy was very very very thick :( But not to be beaten, I chugged on, I could hear them flapping above me, which was quite anoying  I even wondered about putting a gun chair up there next week to get my own back  I had a shot at the first one, but you know what its like, the scope looks through the twigs, but the pellet does'nt  After what seemed like a lifetime, I managed one clean shot, and off it flew, No! It cant fly off the b***ard, and then, crash, bang, thud, the pigeon hit the ground behind me :clapper: One up, so I lardered that one and moved on. I was sat on a stump scratching my ankle, stinging nettles are a git eh! When a bunny popped out in front of me, how could I resist the temtation, I could'nt, WHACK! do any of you old punk rockers rember the dead rat :D After a good scratch I moved on, a rustle in the hedge next to me gave away the position of my next victim. WHACK! bunny number two donned its angel wings :D I went into bunny mode, the rain had kept them in for the last couple of days, and it looked like they were ready to dine, a flutter on the floor in front of me revealed a big cock pheasant, I put the cross hairs on his bright red head and whisperd, your time will come, and we will meat again, as long as nobody else whacks you first  I decided to let the cock wander off ahead, and get mine out for a p*ss, its amazing how as soon as you stop for a slash, everything dashes out for a snack, so I was stood there with my John Henrey stuck out taking a standing shot at a bunny, this needs to be a good shot, or I may p*ss down my leg :D WHACK! dead as a dodo, finished my abloution, and stuck him in a tree out of harms way. The pigeons were still flapping about, but I had lost interest in them now, and wanted more bunnies  I could see a big bunny in front of a tree stump just up the path, but just out of range, so with a bit of Micheal Jackson footwork I snuck up on it, I was just lifting the rifle when I stood on an Ash twig, it snapped with the loudness of a twelve bore, and off it ran  A quick swally of pop, and I was back in stealth mode, I thought the twig had emptyed this corner of the wood until another rabbit came hopping down the path, this one was different to the other rabbits that inhabit this wood, this was a full silver, but I shot it any way. WHACK! and it was doing Pilates :D I could hear the rain return as it thrashed the leaves up in the canopy, and it would'nt be long before it worked its way down to ground level, and me :D So a return to the motor was the best idea, I had picked up the rabbits and was heading up to where the pigeon was stashed, when out popped bunny number five, so a steady drop to the floor with the handfull bunnies, and a knealing shot was taken, WHACK! another one to gut and hock, not that I was bothered, I need all the ferret food I can get ;)

Anyway, here's the end of day shot, smile for the camera vermin

I have to say, the HW100T is the only gun I've ever owned, and not thought about trading in for something else, and I've had it two years, stunning gun ;)
