what do you do with your dogs?

just a quickie, Ive been thinking about getting a dog JR to be precise , but I work 9 hours a day and so does the mrs. So my question is, where/how/who looks afer your dog/s all day? this is the only problem im having to stop me getting one.

Get a kennel.

long walk before work and long walk after work.

take em to work they stay i a box then walked crib dinner or when ever i feel like it... joys of self employment.. get a kennel thats what i used to do like FTB says get a bike and ride round so they have a good run..

do you have a safe garden to build a kennel and run if not look into getting a safe place to kennel them an allotment farm space or consider the dog walkers that do a great service.

All very well but you cant really socialize a pup or form a bond with it stuck in a kennel 9 hours a day and all night. To be honest you have to be responsible if you dont have the time to do it right you probably shouldnt get a dog. Its tough but for the best.

Depends how much time you are willing to spend exercising the dog when you're not at work. If you honestly think you will get up in the dark and cold to walk it before work in the winter mornings, and again when you get back in the evening instead of putting your feet up then fine, but a JRT with not enough excersise will soon drive you crazy (though there are other breeds that are less demanding which would probably be ok.)
