bagzi 0
Well the day has come it's official there's to be an "open" "free" vote to overturn the Hunting ban so keep your fingers crossed!! They haven't decided yet, when it will happen but with any luck we'll be in the clear by Winter. Quote Link to post

bagzi 0
As has been said "WE ALL" need to get in touch with our local MP and encourage them to vote positively on our behalf. This will be the only chance we'll have to get our Hunting right's back so don't let it slip through Your fingers this opportunity will not come again. Quote Link to post

watchman 256
would it be an idea, for someone more literate than the rest of us lol,to compile an e-mail/letter we could all use to forward to our mp,just a thought, might make it easy for those who would otherwise not do anything Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Hold fire on this one... It's gone from a promise of a free vote on repeal, to a proposal to see how the members feel about a free vote on repeal. Two separate things, it might not even get to a free vote... ENVIRONMENT, FOOD AND RURAL AFFAIRSFree vote for Commons "to express its view" on repeal of Hunting Act. National tree-planting campaign. Improve flood defences. Work towards "zero-waste economy", encouraging councils to pay people to recycle. Badger control in areas with high levels of TB in cows. Raise standards of farm animal welfare. Irresponsible owners of dangerous dogs to be targeted. The proposal for a free vote on the Hunting Act is the adoption of the Conservative position, but slightly watered down. DIDO.1 22,864
The worst thing that could possibly happen is to get the vote and then loose it. There are bigger things for the country to think about at the mo. We have a man in charge who intends to over turn the ban, softly softly catchy monkey!!!! Quote Link to post
