R0G3R 11
Hi, Im very excited to reveal my new toy I received yesterday. I bought from a friend. AirArms S400 Carbine with Walther 5.5mm (.22) barrel, Carbon Fibre silencer and competition trigger. I am taking it to the farm this weekend. I cant wait. Its really quiet and very powerfull. Chronied it with JSB Jumbo (15.8gr) pellets at 870fps. Sorry about the poor quality of the pics. Taken with cellphone cam. I will take decent pics this weekend. I will keep you guys posted after the weekend. Roger! Quote Link to post

Roger! my mistake! after re-reading your post i see you have what in britain would be classed as an FAC air rifle. the FAC version of the s400 carbine is the same length as the non FAC classic version. i can only assume the classic version of the s400 FAC is really long! andyz 30
Nice bit of kit you have there Roger and welcome to the forum! When I read that fps I though bloody hell thats gonna be powerful! Alex, how did you work out the ft/lbs?? Andy Quote Link to post
mickieboy 0
Hi Andy, Regarding working out the FT LB on the rifle, you take the velocity readout speed then multiply by the velocity speed again then the weight of pellet or bullet used which is usually on the tin or box then divide by the magic number 450240, so in the case above it would be 870 (velocity speed) Multiplied by 870 (velocity speed again) Then multiplied by weight of pellet or bullet in this case 15.8 then divide by 450240 giving you the FT LBS of the firearm in question Hope this helps mate Regards Mickie Quote Link to post
