Entrance fees are a right ripoff - as others have said, i will stick to the FMWTC shows where reall working folk can take their dogs not just the flash 4x4 brigade
Foxgun Tom 75
Not all game fairs are shite!! but those are in the minority? The organisers of last years Yorkshire Game Fair put out over £2,000 in trophies and rosettes on the Lurcher and Terrier show's over the two days. I and the organiser of the dog events gave out a substanstial amount of complimentary entry tickets and free camping to members of this forum and other sites, basically we wanted to give something back to the ordinary lads and lassies that supported us over the years. We will be doing the same this year All the dog events were a massive success! Every Game Fair has to appeal to the paying customer, unfortunately some become set in their ways and end up stale, with giving no value for money The Yorkshire Game Fair itself is worth it because of the quality of traders, stands etc: compared to the other show that was held in Yorshire at the weekend, the difference is like night and day! Fabapocalypse 35
I think some shows charge for "car parking" rather than gate entry and therefore docked dogs can be shown? And all shows, commercial or otherwise, could do with looking at the quality and pricing of catering on the day, and the state and location of the toilets!
