did a test today which had some h.points tested at 25m and personally i couldnt use them much past that as the accuracy goes off, good penetration tho!!

I got some hollow points in 177 for my HW77 and was amazed by how inaccurate they were! In the end I reverted back to accupels as figured that hitting something accurately and dropping it was far better than having more punch in the delivery and missing or maiming. Was to concerned about injuring to try them on live quarry!

 

Could have just been the pellets in my barrel but I'd rather have consistent accuracy.

 

That said, I might try them again but in 22 in my s410 after watching Alex's vid.

Air Arms field domed are my favourite pellet. I have used a few different hollow points and they were all inaccurate at long range, and most were inaccurate at close range. I suppose they're alright for the rats though.

hi there in my experience a domed pellet i.e. accupel or for heavier i find the logun penetratorto be very accurate with good punch
