wirral countryman 2,110
sorry to say it mate but some saluki crosses just never make it,totally untrainable,I've had great ones, but once had a pup, raised it to the age of 14months,lived in the house with us, but get it in the field and it was useless, ended up being re-homed as a pet to a girl with stables, hope your's turns out better than mine,it was like 3years wasted of my life, yis, wirralman Quote Link to post

ferreter.al 22
my sal/bull/grey sometimes woant retrive when there is other dogs around,he dosent want them to get the bunny off him so i walk away from other lads and kneel down on floor and let him come to me.i dont chase him because he would just run away, fine with no other dogs,he is only a pup thow so i will iron that out before next season.his retrive is always live thow, the hunting up in the lamp is a massive problem.my mate had a colliex that did it and he gave it away for a ferreting and mooching lurchur!like others have said pick squatters where dog should catch them and woant need to hunt.if not you woant get any sport because it will clear every field off after 1 run, hope it all works out.
