Now then you airgun fanatics, sat in last night, nowt on TV, so I thought I'd go for a walk with the HW100T and see what was lurking around in the darkness on some pasture just up the road from me :) It was more than a little frosty, it souded like a herd of cow's chewing the cud as I walked in the not so pitch darkness, the moon was full which did'nt help my cause :( But the object was to be out and about on the chance of bagging something for the ferrets or the dogs. Isn't it amazing how many Wood Pigeons take flight at night when you take a walk with your guns. I think the pigeons put most of the rabbits to ground with their flapping and crashing into branches  But if airgun hunting was easy, it would lose much of its appeal maybe. Anyway, I had planned to walk down to a small stream which is about six feet wide, and two feet deep with a little Island in the middle, the stream flows down each side of the island, there's normally some pigeons roosting in the willow tree that grows in the middle of the island, and because the pigeons seemed to be up for it, they would be my first port of call :D After walking around the willow it became obvious the pigeons had done one  I could just make out five objects sitting in the willow, but could'nt make out what they were, so on with the lamp and WHACK!

and then chaos in the tree, what I'd whacked was a magpie, as it was tumbling down through the branches, the others were kicking off big time, and I think it hit every branch on the way down  I tried to take out another but they flew off in the opposite direction using the tree for cover. A walk over to retrieve the Magpie showed that it had been washed down stream, ten minutes later I gave up looking, one up to the Magpies. I had a walk down there today to see if I could pick it up, but but found no hide nor hair of it, bugger. There were quite a few rabbits disapearing into the undergrowth in front of me, but all were out of range, or heard but not seen. I only had two shots at sets of eyes, put both down, but could only find the one, he's the lucky one, because he gets to appear on THL in the airgun section :D And here's a pic of the bonny lad, he's now cut into three, and will be appearing on the ferrets menu later tonight, so all in all, not a big bagging session, but its nice to have a wander even if you blank, I was going to leap across onto the island to look for the Magpie, but after a certain member getting his wellies filled I changed my mind  Keep at them people

Wehayyyyyyy

The Stealthy Man is back in town :clapper::notworthy::gunsmilie::notworthy::clapper:

And he's not lost his touch since putting his baby away for the winter in favour of the Ferrets

Was only thinking early this morning, "Wonder when Stealthy will get the gun out again"
