cabinet location?

As i may need to upgrade by cab, can these be installed in a loft, bolted to the main brick wall inbetween houses? The loft is alarmed with pir's as is the house.

AS above contact your FAO. You can put it in the loft if you fix it correctly, BUT if the loft is not heated I would look elsewhere. Ned

I have mine in the loft bolted to a brick wall and no problem for the firearms officer. The only question they raise is if access isn't good then they believe you may be inclined not to use every time you take then gun out because of the hassle factor.

access to the loft is easy, and have full flooring and lighting. Query about the heat though? my current location is very cold even though inside the house, is this a major issue?

i do use silica gel packs currently, so maybe ill just continue this method. Not happy about installing heating in loft! Only want to move because current location is too small for a 4-5 gun cab, and want it completely out of sight of the kids.

some people fit a low what bulb in the cabinet the heat from it is enough to keep damp out and keep guns fine

Nothing too hot tho, else the thermal imaging on the police helicopter might make them think you are growing things you shouldnt in your loft....

 

I dont see any problem with the cabinet in the loft. I know someone who has done just this without any problems.
