Guest Ditch_Shitter
Yeppers. Sounds like classic ear mite infestation alright. You may, or may not, be able to detect brown gunk in her ears. Does she also tend to lick the paw she uses to scratch her ears with? They usually scratch, between shaking so hard ye'd think their ears will come off. Google Thornit and get a small bottle. Under a tenner. Be with ye in a couple of days. Out last most Dogs. It'll come in a brown, plastic bottle. White powder. On an average sized Dog, a small 'pinch', or what ye can pick up on the tip of a pointed pocket knife will be plenty. Get ye Dog to lay down and talk gently to her. Ease her mind and put her ear flap back. Drop it in and then flick the ear over again and massage the ear root gently. The shock of something plonking into their ear cannal often makes them shake their head and shower the stuff all over. Then, lie to her. Start over again, going for the other ear. Tell her you're up to something differant this time. Terrible, I know, but it don't half work! Expect peace within a few days of such daily treatment. Oh; And don't forget to work a little pinch into her toes too. She'll have picked up mites from her ears and they'll be harbouring there' Go get 'em, Floyd!
bullmastiff 610
It could be a foreign body in the ear canal, with all the burrs and old seeds about my spanial sometimes gets stuff in his, I got an antiseptic ear wash from the vets to flush it out.
