Nik_B 3,791
I read a few days ago that polar bears are becoming fully cannibalistic, with males killing and eating cubs - even their own. This is due the shrinkage of the ice-cap reducing the numbers of seals, the bears' normal prey. Obviously not a viable long-term policy. What a load of crap. Quote Link to post

If your referring to the fact that POLAR BEARS wont eat cubs or slow adults mate then you need to watch a bit more discovery channel.Well known fact when food is scarce .As to foxes eating their own kind i've no doubt about it but no first hand experience of it as i incinerate all carcasses as a good bloke should Quote Link to post

It is however known they do kill them adn I'm sure they dont eat their own due to hunger...the males eat the cubs of other polar bears. When polar ice caps were'nt shrinking was there anyone collecting data to suggest that polar bears weren't killing young? ANyway...it's only RikW again Quote Link to post
mangy1983 51
Remembered this from the beginning of the month for the best pics of 2009 of animals eating each other. Pic is of an adult polar bear that had killed and cannibalised a cub. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthpicturegalleries/6867693/Pictures-of-the-year-2009-animals-eating-each-other.html?image=28 Quote Link to post
Nik_B 3,791
but no evidence that climate change caused it, they do it anyway. Quote Link to post

RicW 67
Nic - Then why are we falling out? I suspect that you and I have a lot more views in common than we have disagreements. Chill out bro. Quote Link to post
FOXHUNTER 5,021
I once shot a fox and left it for collection after lamping the rest of the farm. On my return the fox had been dragged about 8ft from its original place and its shoulder had been devoured by a fox as there are no badgers in this area !!! Quote Link to post
