I had a few hours this morning watchng the small herd of hinds & there were some babys from this year amongst them , i managed to get 2 pics of a young male with his tiny antlers just starting to show & a very pretty female ,

 

And a few other shots of them , very cold but worth hanging around to get them in the right place to take some half decent pictures

Sean i have found the booklet you sent very usefull , the one where it gives you tips about not taking out to much stuff & how to take pics in misty conditions

 

i havent started on the other stuff yet :thumbs:

Nice pics. There must be enough good ones on here to rival John Craven's Countryfile calendar!

 

To be fair its not that difficult to photograph them when there in the open fields, its just getting them in the right place so the suns not in your face.

 

But yesterdays waiting around paid off as they moved to the other end of the field so the sun was behind me & you get the colours of there coats better then :thumbs:
