jinxnjill 0
Spend from now till next season reading books talking to and hunting with experienced hawk hunters, build mews gather all equipment needed for the hawk, secure your own land then consider if you really have the free time it takes to keep, train, fly, hunt a bird of your own. but goodluck Edited December 23, 2009 by jinxnjill Quote Link to post

charlie caller 3,654
Totally agree with all the above comments mate, its a big commitment, you should try to get as much experience as you can,if you dont know anyone close to you to take you out, then go on a course and read, watch dvds ect as much as possible, put the work in mate its worth it,an hats off to you mate for not jumping in feet first as some do,and then either losing or killing the bird, too many idiots with little or no knowledge get their hands on birds these days im afraid, good luck with it mate and keep us updated on how its going CHARLIE CALLER Quote Link to post

liftboy1 0
Try and get a day out hunting aswell as I have heard the courses arent brilliant. Just dont rush in to it, I have been there and sometimes it tested my nerves. ATB liftboy Quote Link to post
