Kay 3,709
Well if there getting porky drop it a little & if there dropping weight then up the amount , i find it easy to maintain the dogs body weight here as there not worked , but i would imagine a dog worked hard a few times a week needs more food , so i would just monitor the dogs & act accordingly
sandymere 8,263
As above you need to feed what your dog needs not your mates, different dogs, different lifestyles require different amounts.
my hounds 316
HOW CAN YOU OVERFEED A DOG THATS BEING WORKED?
sandymere 8,263
HOW CAN YOU OVERFEED A DOG THATS BEING WORKED? By feeding it more than it needs, if you give it more calories than it's burning then the excess will be stored as fat and fat dogs don't work efficiently.

MissRhianL 70
Hiya but, everyone feeds their dogs differently, some people feed their dogs so many times a day, but i always have food down for my 2x dogs, and they pick at it when their hungry, my personal experience when feedin at certain times is that the dog gets greedy an eats it all in one go, id rather keep the food down at all times an let them eat it as they want!! all the best Rhian
