Tjdcoulson 0
Just started to take my ferrets out for the first time, i've only been twice and no luck so far The ferrets are inexperienced and me too i suppose, im using purse nets and a locator. Not sure what i was expecting but they dont seem to be down the holes for very long at all, theres dropping around the holes so im fairly sure theres rabbits. Is it a case of just keep trying, im just looking for any tips to point me in the right direction Quote Link to post
stubby 175
are the droppings old or new kep putting the ferts down different holes, eventually they'll get the hang of it and stay down and search Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Dont give up, just keep chucking your ferrets down holes and you and the ferrets will learn as you go along, dont forget your camera to post your first haul Quote Link to post
carp king 155
droppings outside the hole aren't always a sure sign that there's rabbits home, stick at it mate and the ferts will soon be bolting them on piece! Quote Link to post
The one 8,587
You really need a dog to mark occupied burrows because dropping out side a hole count for nothing they might be play hole etc ,you can only try a working ferret after you try yours to see how it goes Quote Link to post
