I can recomend the book A Bird In The Hand

by Bill Docherty all to do with bird trapping

Join the BTO, demonstrate that you're actually not a c*** and get accepted. Train up as one of their Ringers and ye get to mist net and trap all the birds ye heart could desire.

Used to use Mist nets quite a bit,had a few in the past from british field sports suppliers but they arent stocked now.Best place to get them is China,Italy,and portugal,oh,and I know a guy who bought a few from a bird fair he attended in Belgium As Ditch says,become a registered ringer and you'll get your licence Cyprus is just as good as Malta Ditch

You can source Mist nets here in the U.K. contact one of the many inshore fishing gear suppliers and ask for spratt netting its made from 1z nylon its as fine as the hairs on your arms and does the job.

Cheers for the replies chaps. I think i will look into getting the ringer licence,they even show you how its done very nice of them! Thanks for the info about sourcing nets etc but i dont think im at that stage yet.
