ferret_uk 4
Hi all am just wondering if any of you guys keep avairy birds. I have a large avairy with a mixed selection such as Zebra finch , Jave Finch , Benglenese Finch , Gold Finch, Border canarys and fife canarys. I have bred successfully for the past 5-6 years and would just like to see if anyone else has the same hobby

Malt 379
Haven't got any myself, but I lived back and forth at my nan & Granddads house for the first 20 years of my life, and my granddad & uncle always had some sort of birds in the aviary in the garden. Gloster canaries, Norwich canaries, Red factors, all manner of British finches, (Greenies/goldies/chaffinches/bullfinches/siskins/redpolls that I can remember!) then later on love birds, cockatiel & Budgies. ..and quails in the bottom of the flights most of the time! I'd love to have an aviary at some point but I don't live in the right sort of place ATM.
McKay 37
Ive been thinking lately of shifting the budgies out the Aviary and getting a few British birds in there, Maybe some time early next year. They seem much more satisfying to keep.
