poacher3161 1,766
I have a 9 month old bitch out of a supposedly f1 grey/beddy back to biglandboy non ped whippet its the first time i have had this cross and compared to other lurchers i have had in the last 30 years or more i carnt beilieve how immature she is.With being out of work i am spending up to 8 hours a day with her.My mate who is a gamekeeper and has kept Beardie lurchers in the past has seen her and is convinced that she has beardie blood in her.All veiws and opinions are welcomed cheers.atb dell Quote Link to post
Malt 379
My 13 month old beddy/whippet is still a bit puppyish & excitable. He's calmed down a fair bit lately, but he's still prone to a bout of hyperactivity now & again. Quote Link to post
Guest fence_hopper
same as any other x but you end up with a better dog imo, id say it comes from the whippet side as i have a pur whippet and she's the madest dog i've seen and my first x beddy grey is chilled as they get Edited October 12, 2009 by fence_hopper Quote Link to post

tomandroz 0
Hi, Yes, I would agree with you, my beddy x is certainly immature, daft, and a little crazy .... but I am sure she will be worth the wait, and as the other post's say, still a pup. patience is a virtue and all that. Best of luck. ATB Tom Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
Shes had a few myxy rabbits and just smashes them up and thats after dummy training for her retreiving shes run a few clean rabbits and is very slow with no natrual running ability as far as jinking and turning with the rabbit i exspected a cross of this breeding to be agile even for a nine month old pup.Thats why i am convinced their is beardie blood off the dams side as i have heard they are slow to mature mentaly.atb dell Quote Link to post
