jigsaw 11,902
Right for all you doubters(SCENT) Left home at 6 a.m. and hit the hill at just 7.I headed for the spot I found them at the last day, well HELLO there they were in all their glory and in vast numbers.I didnt count them but there were well close to 50 or 60.Some siting, some grazing and some just having a chat with its nearest companion.Well ould Jigsaw sat the kelpie TAZ and snook(is there such a word) up to the ridge and loaded the 223 magazine and cocked it.Picked the first victim and steadied myself.Cross hairs on the skull and pull the triger,1st one down, frantic after that I must admit. It was like a scene from a spagetti western.Bullets flying everywhere.I had 10 bullets with me as I was expecting to either be A. outdone by the smelly b*****ds again or B.I would be flat on my ass again watching them dissapear over the horizion, but not this time.Oh NO,I was ready and willing and more than able I droped 5 and had to shoot 2 once more each as they were making good their escape on 3 legs.I have to say these goats are a bloody hard beast to kill(or maybe its just the 223 is a tad under muscled)so 7 bullets used and 5 goats taken out.I then had the unsavoury task of draging the corpses down the hillside to the fields below. It wasnt as hard as you'd think as I just got them over the ridge and away they rolled,a few got stuck here and there but not too bad.I then reached the farmer and he osed the tractor to take them to his yard where I loaded them into the van....my nice new van that I only bought a few weeks ago.I then headed home after coffe and a few slaps on the back from some very happy locals. All I like to add is ..SCENT,no defeat in my vocab mate, lol. now hers something I havent done in a very long time,I SHOT A FOX I prefer to leave em for the hounds but I was asked to do so by the farmer. some of the ground I gallop about in pursuit of the smelly ones. last 2 of Taz I tell ye one thing folks, theres some smell from my clothes

jigsaw 11,902
I mhave prepared 2 rear leg joints of ''smelly'' meat and 2 briskets of said same.If I dissapear from this forum you can take it the goats got me in the end, lol.Mal shes turned out a very bidable bitch, when I go into stalking mode she even pulls back and follows from the rear, shes done this a few times, and even while shooting she wont move, just sits and waits.Very happy with her I am.The locals want me to knock their numbers down to 20 ish, going to be a busy winter. jigsaw 11,902
well heres the story,I just ate a portion of back haunch of ''smelly meat''.With trepedation I (well the wife to be truthfull)put a back leg into a roasting bag and shoved it in the oven.It came out rather dark but hell it was absolutely georgous.I was told it was not the nicest but they were WRONG.Try it its very nice.I gave a leg to my mate and he thought the same.So from now on goat is definitely on the menu in this house........but only for me as my fussy little shits wont even consider trying some.
