Delinquents Picknic

Recommended Posts

After yesterdays torrential, I thought the bunnies may be out for a play and a munch.

So I headed off to the cemy this evening to see if they'd let me join in with them

Got there, had a quick zero check in the secluded part and 5 pellets all in the bull told me my baby was sweet. :D

I began my initial recce and feck me the little fluffy f***ers have been out in force!!

Fresh diggings everywhere. :o These lil vandals are trying to make me look bad!!

Whats worse was I got close to the lotties at the side and the old guy started yappin  .

Eventually got away and noticed a pair of ears bobbing along over the far side.

Using the monuments, headstones and bushes I made my way over to where I had seen the ears.

When I realised how close I was I froze as I noticed that there were two sets of ears and another pair hopping out of the hedgerow to join the others.

I reckoned if I could make it to the hedgerow, I could have taken two out with one shot at that range! Their heads would have been nicely aligned.

Figured the risk of them spotting me though was too much and they would have bolted.

Standing up behind a monument I could see these three youngsters were having a nice little picknic on the freshly fallen leaves.

Time to put a stop to this me thinks, I didn't get an invite so Im gonna be a party pooper.

Brought the S200 to my shoulder and took aim, click of my tongue from the top of my mouth had one sit up straight, ears up high, leaf still in its gob! The other two stayed down and continued to munch.

Moved the crosshair down a touch and gave this juvenile delinquent a much deserved slap in the head.

Surgical placement saw the pellet enter the skull and leave through the his right eye, bunny number two and three immediately give it legs. Not to worry though I'll be back tomorrow for those two.

This greedy little bunny wouldn't even let go of the leaf it had been snaffling, so I let it have its portrait taken looking like it was sticking its tongue out.

The good news is this Cheeky little vandal was healthy (makes a change) and is now ready for some Cajun Spice tomorrow :clapper:

good shooting mate! i would have loved to see tow popped with one shot but seriously i think they would have to have been well withing 20 yrds for you to do so. what bipod and whatt height are you using phantom? is it useful as i have been meaning to put a bipod on my s400 for ages!

Hi Aaron,

I was about 18 to 20 yards. Didn't realise just how close I had gotten to the party.

My pod is a cheap one from eBay (less than £20). Must say that so far, its been worth its weight in gold

The fact that it came from Hong Kong didn't put me off.

Its adjustable from about 5 to 9 inches which is very useful for me as some times I'm on a flat and other times I'm sniping from a little dip behind a grave so the smaller end comes into its own.

good shooting fella nice pics good luck for the rest of the little blighters

Went back up there this evening. The little beggars I could see in the orchard part of the old womans garden that borders the cemy. I am hoping that she's going to let me at the ones in her garden soon ;)

One adult hopped out of there into the cemy so I went over using a bush as cover. Got there, no sign of bugs :hmm: Had a wander to where I last had eyeball and theres another great warren entrance! Guess where I'm gonna be pointing my baby tomorrow

Old guy in the lotties collerd me again; This time he said he can get me another permission where there are a lot of Woodies :) on the condition they are all head shot and I keep him supplied with birds. Thats okay as long as long as he comes up with the goods.

Only other bunny I saw was on my verbal permission. I know I said I wont shoot it til I get it in writing, but this one was just sat doing nowt. Made my way down the fence until I was in range, bunny just sat, looked through the scope and its eyes were all sticky and weeping. I'm assuming it was Myxie :( So I took the shot, and guess what? I FLUFFED IT :icon_redface::angry: Bunny hopped off behind the caravan :(
