Guest robbie1 Posted October 3, 2009 Report Share Posted October 3, 2009 well after two and a bit weeks away its good to be home!!! 1st week away was on the norfolk broads with a pike crazy mate of mine for some fishing (and drinking lol) where i saw my 1st otter!!! here is a pic of it . on the 1st night we moored up in the middle of no where (nr stalham) and was treated to some red deer bellowing away all night!!!! so next day we went back to the mariner, got the van and found a huge lettuce field with a public footpath at the side of it going towards some woods and the direction of where we moored up. had a walk out and my bitch caught a rabbit and young pheasant but didnt see any deer (just wanted some pics of them) just these tracks and plenty of droppings about so back on the boat for some more fishing but to be honest we did crap!!!! plenty of little fish but not the pike we were after but still a nice week off and nice countryside to travel round not much good for lamping tho didnt see much at all!!!!. here is a couple of pics of my bitch and the boat . then it was over to ireland to see friends and family and had a brilliant time over there. met up with my cousin who i sent a pup over to out the same litter as mine and she looks well and is coming on nicely to!!!! here she is on the left we did some lamping with but 1st night was shit but second night we had a fox so wasnt to bad but with being out for 4 hours i thought we would of seen more but thats how it is sometimes i suppose!!!! next i went to see a mate but he wasnt home so i had a mooch round and the bitch caught a hare after a good run!!! . then i come home yesterday and was meant to go out with my mate and his big dog but he got pissed and fell asleep so i went on my own and he missed out big time!!!! my bitch is starting to come real good and showing all the time ive put in to her is paying off at last!!! all in all a very good time but glad to back to my own permission to be honest cause im very lucky here and it really does take some beating on a good night and if this wind stays like it is im out again tonight!!!! cheers for reading yis robbie Quote Link to post
