shoeyou 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Share Posted September 27, 2009 good question trapper im a new member too and after not ferreting since i was a kid me and a mate have just got ourselves a couple of jills, ive dug out the old purse nets found a long net a friend wasnt using, and have even tried my hand at making a few purse nets. the long net i got had no poles and have had a job to find them , just bought some of ebay though. next job is to cut and dry some, then the sloe gin to keep the blood flowing on those cold winter mornings if they come happy hunting let us know how you get on Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Share Posted September 27, 2009 Three feet poles for me, thats the length they came in We have a lot of sandy soil on some of the land we use, so to keep the tention on your top line we some times have to push the poles in a little more than in solid soil, so the 3ft poles suit the job.
