i have 2 kits that wer nipping me like hell but thay have stoped now all i did was when i put my fist in and thay started biteing me nukkles so thay got a nukkle down ther throat but now thay runn up to the hand and dont bite it now ther sorted now if that is anay help to 2

I'm a bit wary of hat meathod mate as it can make them hand shy.

 

I'v got a bottle of lemmon squeezy and when it bites it gets a wee squirt

i niver ment i punch them i ment thay onlay bite me nukkles it dosent hurt as mutch

and a ping on the nose thay arnt hand shie thay onlay play bite now lol

i think the fact they where on the ground was playin a big factor in it so i'v moved them to the top hutch.

 

time will tell

just thought i'd let ya all know that the change of possions seems to have worked.

 

the wee poley doesnt seem to mind gettin picked up at all now.

 

just goes to show the smallest of changes can make a difference

just got bit today aswell, picked up some new ferrets that were a bit nippy so got home and left them be in the run for a hour or so to get used to it and have some food to be less sqirmy. let one sniff me and it latched onto my middle finger one puncture under my finger and the other tooth went down the side of my nail and she wouldnt let go either. i had been handling a bag of tripe before so perhaps it was because of that or there just scared? they have only been fed on catfood and bread and milk in the last place so ill get s bit of rabbit in with them to see if they just need a chew on some proper food. what methods do you use to remove them from your fingers?

a gentle squeeze on the the top of there nose mate ! they let go every time!

 

they might be scared or they might just need handled more often.

if they are young then its probably the later....all kits go through a nipping stage

ricky, try lemon juice squeezed onto your hands, if it bites it will quickly learn not to

 

fixed one of mine which was a right b*****d, now shes as good as gold
