a mate of mine has a saluki x greyhound 18months old.

the dog is very sensitive i.e he's not very good with pain, not sayin he beats the dog or anything but if you knock him or if he nips his skin he dunt half yelp........

 

anyone else with this type of dog have the same problem?

Not at all with mine.

I've never had the problem myself.athough the salukix's i have owned have been crossed with either collie/greys and most recently bull/greys. none of them being sensitive.although i have heard of it off lads i know. Atb sniper

maybe its scared ? they are a nervous breed , never had that with mine though ,

 

apart from when i first got my dog when we sweeped the floor or picked something up near him he would scream like a bashee,

but hes alright now , hes a confident dog , how long has he had him/her?

yeah my saluki bitch is in some ways delicate,but when she has to be forcefull she can also be surprisingly agressive.

mine is as hard as nails mate killed 3 charlies in 20 mins with him 1 night on the lamp

mine doesnt do it when its chasing, it would plough through a hedge back without even a sqeak, hard as nail in that way but its things like going to stroke the dog or looking at its feet then it will wail like a bashee, for no aparent reason

i fight alot with mine that toughens them up a little bit lol the dog should be starting to mature now it will get confidence some time.
