andy s410c 63
Arrived at the top quarry for 11am,grey sky & Northerly breeze but still warm.Got meself set up & yomped up to my normal sniping spot, missed 1 on the way however further along the quarry wall path bagged 2 but 1 on it's last legs with myxi  .I settled in to my spot & waited for bugs to show...did'nt take long,1 showed to my left at 10 yds & was took with a napper busting shot over a course of a hour or so i took another 3 so more than happy . I had a bite to eat & decided to move into the small wood for a mooch, seen another stoat on the way,2 in a week...they must be having a good time with the myxi rabbits. As i entered the wood i caught the glimpse of a tree rat on the deck just as i put the crosshairs on it up it went into the canopy of foilage as i scanned the treetops i could see it making it's way to the 2 dreys above the watering hole so i kept up with it best i could.I pulled up a sniping position with a good clearish view of the dreys & waited 30 mins or so...nothing showed so i had a mooch further into the wood...nothing to be had however as i came back to the dreys i caught a glimpse of the treerat, crosshairs on,wallop down come's treerat just knew i get you i said to meself . I headed back to my quarry sniping spot i bagged another 3,2 with myxi i left the quarry with 6 healthy rabbits for the ferts & could have had a couple more but the backpack was full so i'll just have to lead earing them next mooch .
