ok youv' organised a walk about day shooting over the dogs got the lads together to get to know each other before the season kicks off plus it gives you an idea of how safe they are and how fit right half a day up on the moor very windy but dry and bright experienced men boots gaiters fleece or waistcoat small game bag box cartridges they know its not to wet under foot it will be warm going and you won't get to many shots at the grouse then the others who in our case have shot with us before but just dont learn to take advice they pull on a big coat over a fleece and probably a jumper then out come the waterproof pants over the wellies then a massive game bag with a couple of hundred cartridges pluss yes a waterproog coat pushed into the bag just in case.OfF we go a nice line to start with then boys with all the gear start to fall back and the rest of the line holds up untill they catch up when we come off the moor these boys are knackerd and drenched with sweat. We have our baite and the we go of on a easy walk after a few rabbits so experience tells us to take a bigger game bag and a lot more catridgeand as it is a wet area change boots for wellies, what do the others do they decide not to take a gamebag and just take a few cartridges but they keep all there gear on and then half way through the afternoon they want to call it a day as they are knacked they don't have any cartriges left and they are struggling to carry there shot game o yes and although we told them not to shoot a hare unless they realy wanted one and they were going to carry it themselfs also wait untill we are nearer the end of the day what happens a hare is shot in the fist few minutes :wallbash: So do i let them get on with it or do i have to dress them and hold their hand all season or give them a bollicking every time we go out would'nt be so botherd if these were all newbies but there not.its going to be a long season :D I love it realy.
