Kay 3,709
Theres only an air rifle here now but when my old man held an fac that naturally was locked away , so i couldnt understand why the same wasnt happening with the air rifle , having a teenage son in the house imo is an accident waiting to happen so after a discussion it was sorted & has stayed that way ever since Very sad to hear about this child , rip

fin and fur 2
all guns should be banned No the people who neglect firearm safety should be banned from keeping them. JoeD I agree with you, it is the crass stupidity of the individual responsible for the air rifle that has caused this tragedy to happen which should be addressed. I hope the person responsible for the air rifle is prosecuted, although i dare say they are going through their own personal nightmare at the moment.
Wanna be farmer 0
It won't be long untill the government ban airguns because of people stupidity.
fin and fur 2
It won't be long untill the government ban airguns because of people stupidity. Sadly this is a very real possibility, the idiots in society always seem to be responsible, via their actions, for either banning something that can be misused or for seeing a government introduce an entirely ineffectual piece of legislation at huge cost to the taxpayer. The days of common sense seem to be long gone for an ever increasing number of the UK populus.

It is common sense to protect your kids from getting hold of these guns....Guns left in the house unattended is asking for trouble..

Too true, if you have young kids, then airguns should be locked up. But i don't think it should be compulsery for air guns to be locked up. It's like all guns, use your common sence whilst using and storing them. If you follow that rule then you don't normally go far wrong. But this realy is a tragic case.
