RossM 8,149
nipped into vets to pick up wormers and had my older bitch with me, the vet hadnt seen her before so i got him to give her a check up, he picked up a slight heart murmour, said it was nothing to worry about and it wouldnt affect her working ability and it "could" even dissapear the more her heart pumps gets fit etc, shes only been to vet a couple of times in her 5 years and none of the other two have picked up on it, the vet said its nothing to worry about but would anyone else? or has anyones dog had anything similar? Cold Ethyl 63
The vet said this to my other half about his bitch and the other vet said theres no murmer. Its quite often vets do this with running dogs its a mistake usually as theyre different to other breeds and most vets jump to the heart murmer diagnosis it all depends if its a low grade or high grade heart murmer
bullmastiff 615
The vet said this to my other half about his bitch and the other vet said theres no murmer. Its quite often vets do this with running dogs its a mistake usually as theyre different to other breeds and most vets jump to the heart murmer diagnosis it all depends if its a low grade or high grade heart murmer I heard this as well I got told by the vet that Roo had a slight heart murmer but nothing to worry about, when I spoke to someone about it that knows running dogs he said quite a few have got a slight murmer as the heart is so large and so fit that sometimes the valves don't work properly when resting. Don't know if it's true or not but made me feel better!!! Cheers Luke.
