Foxgun Tom 75
In a word YES!!!!!!!!! acording to my other half that;s more than enough too prove your own housing status unless there was other evidence to the contrary Tom My Mrs was a housing officer for 18 with the local authority and she still works with the local housing dept! dealing with tenants who abscond, anti social behaviour, rent arrears and the legal implications and obligations of being a local authority tenant she deals with benefit issues every day Her advice is as long as you can provide evidence that you stay and reside elsewhere your allowed to house-sit while your girlfriend is on holiday She also say's a three day rule does'nt apply in this situation!! but if you were to be staying at your girlfriends house for an excessive lentgh of time and your girlfriends on housing benefit, not declaring you there?? thats a different matter Ex-partners who have kids can stay for a limited time even on benefits if they have kids Tom Thanks for that Tom. Would "evidence" include letters addressed to MY home address. and the fact all my clothes are still in MY wardrobe at MY parents Cheers RH Edited July 26, 2009 by Foxgun Tom
dai dogs 2,026
My girlfriend gets the housing benefits etc..... she's going on holiday and im wondering if i can "house-sit" for her, without worrying about her getting in bother with the benefits people. Basically, i'd stop over a few nights, and leave my car their so the house looks "lived in" if she is on holiday, i couldnt see a problem with me staying there, even every night, as i dont reckon i could be classed as "living with HER" any advice welcome, though i reckon i might just ring the benefits to be 100% on it why the fxck dont you go with her ? old saying-while the cats away the mice will play....fucx the house have a good time ..atb dai Edited July 26, 2009 by dai dogs

Foxgun Tom 75
I'm off work sick. at the moment, I paid tax and national insurance for 35 years and probably will for the next 15-20 years, I also have a mortgage/car and kids/grandkids I'm also lucky my wee mrs has a good job with a well paid salary, I also get sickness benefit which I'm entitled to!! after paying into the system for over 3 decades, (should I use my savings I've put by for my old-age??) If I like others choose to use the social/fund I paid into and paid for its upkeep, for a holiday Thats my choice Not every poor fecker on the dole or the sick is a scrounger or work shy, There are some things!! certain tax-paying members of the public can't avoid eg: redundancy and serious ill-health Tom me and the good lady work all hours god sends, we have 3 kids a house and 1 car, we aint rollin it it but we get by, and we cant afford holidays so why is it the people that receive our hard earned taxes can swan off on holiday??? realy fecks me off........... Fair play to you I work 6 days a week so these tossers can sit on their backsides all day and have holidays paid for by the good old taxpayer and I wont be getting a holiday this year Sometimes I feel like chucking it all in and joining all the piss takers I will tell you wat i will swop you i have worked all my life and i bet in more dangerouse and shityer places got made redundant in jan get nothing in benifits due to a small pension and her working. So dont tar everybody with the same brush like you are apearing to do.Then again you might have a job for life like working for theDWP.
