skinny hob

Recommended Posts

My hob looses weight during the summer for some reason but soon beefs back up

again come the autum although he goes a bit leaner in the summer he is still well

active and fit so i dont tend to worry to much about it

Im sure he is fine hes just in mateing condition which does seem a bit scank compared

to the winter condition

If you are in any doubt whip him down the vets for a quick check up

HOPE HES OK MATE

Dont know about the porn and a blow up ferret...but my hobs (also entire) loose weight and generally dont look their best at this time of year. With jills on their minds and them moulting their coats - give them a couple of months and he / they will be back to his usual self.

hi all

my hob has gone from being built like a cat to looking like a large gill he is eating ang drinking fine is as bright as ussual just wondering why he has gone so ragged looking

eny ideas

Ever thought that he may have a worm burden and is in need of a good worming? I worm all my ferrets at this time of year as a matter of course. I use Panacur 10% at the rate of 1/2 of a ml. for Hobs and 1/4 of a ml. for the Jills.

I am suprised that nobody has picked up on it? ATB. Rod.

just out of interest are males up for it all the time or just when jills are in season and how many times a year do jills come into season?

Hobs are usually fertile for most of the year and come into breeding condition earlier than the Jills. Once a Jill comes into 'Heat' then she will stay that way for several months unless mated. ATB. Rod.
