dead ferret (gutted)

came home today and found my ferret dead, i have had her about 7 years and she was a real friendly little thing. i dont know what killed her but i dont think it was the heat as i had moved them (i have 2) into a shady place when it started getting warmer over the last few days. i was wondering how long do ferrets usually live for? is 7 a good age for a ferret? i am now looking for a replacement as i dont like seeing a ferret on its own but i dont fancy messing about getting a kit and getting it to work. does anyone have a decent working jill for sale or is it a longshot even asking? maybe someone local is packing in and wants rid i live in the manchester area if thats any help.

7 is a fair age mate, heard of them living longer but 7 is still a good age.

Bad news when you loose a good one mate it's unusually warm but ferrets can live into double figures

They reckon ferrets can live up to 10 years of age. So 7 would be a fair age and sorry to hear about your loss mate.

sorry to hear that .ive had ferrets live till 12 but ive also lost then at 5 years old too so 7 is a good number

7 seems to be about average, sure they can live older but also some go younger, it's always bad to loose a good worker, but it happens, sorry for your loss, but good luck on your next one.
