beetle help fecking things

keep finding these black beetles used to call em rain beetles when we whr kids they seem to like bedding ,cloaths,towels , jet black hard body and they fly i think they come down the chimney cant source em aint got a clue as to were thr coming in . any advice how to get rid of em or what they are ? getting about 6 a week i`ll try and get some photos up .. stubby this is one for you ..

thats the fecking things our girt got one in her hair the other night not a pretty sight the bettle whr an ugly fecker aswell ..

now how wierd is this, we just stood in the back garden, watching a load of flying insects, flying around our chimney, seemed to be flying in, the length of our garden, anyway, one dropped into the kids paddling pool, dont know if the pictures picked it up to well, but more of a golden yellow colour, not looked it up yet, as I was suppose to leave for work a few minutes ago... :hmm:

Looks like "Click beetle" to me. Female lays up to 300 eggs in soil.....where the larvae are better known as wireworms. Sometimes has a metalic sheen to it but can vary greatly in colour ;)
sometimes have a reddish tint to em ..

you one looks more like a meal worm bettle stig check the loft chimmy for birds nests.

 

You are right I took one to college today to find out what it is and the morio beetles (giant mealworms) that we feed to the exotics are the exact same. So if you see them in your house you may have meal worms :S
