dodger 3,589
Everyone has different ideas probably a raw meat diet is best plenty of info on here but i also like either proplan puppy or science plan puppy for young pups. Quote Link to post
lampinglurcher 36
ive done a fair bit of research on feeding pups - ive got 1 aged 4 months. either bring them slowly onto 1 pound mince meat per day, mixed with some cereal (pre soaked), milk and raw egg. up untill about 4 months of age this should be divided up into 4 consistent feeds. if your puppy is over 4 months, then i would slowly switch onto a high quality puppy performance dry food mixed with raw meat. follow what it says on the packet in terms of how much to give, and then substitute about a quarter and give that weight in meat. ive found the best dry foodds to be: james wellbeloved pedigree iams. others like eukumba or beta give gas or dandruff. hope thiss has been of some help. matt Quote Link to post

Guest MOLLY
I like to give pups as much variety as possibly....always raw but i also give, tinned, dry, table scraps etc. I think it gives them a stronger stomach, so you dont have probs with the runs etc later in life if you have to change their food (eg, its not practical to keep raw in the caravan when camping so they get tinned or dry), or they scrounge.
