Malt 379
I spent a large part of the day yesterday, evicting/splatting a good number of these turf munching little b*****ds: As I sat on the throne for the last 'movement' of the night before bed, I was greeted with a surprise! Now, since I'm now married with kids, the wife & I have had to stop being so promiscuous about the house, any time, any place, so if I'm not allowed, these pair certainly aren't:  Needless to say, the happy couple were stopped in their tracks, there's no way I'm going to allow my bathroom to become a crane fly knocking shop! I went back for the camera, I'm not into taking photos of my stools or anything! They lay their eggs in the turf, and the grubs (leatherjackets) then weaken the turf by eating the root structure, which can lead to bald patches. Not good on a cricket pitch or racecourse. So THAT'S what they look like! I used to do some grounds maintenance where I lived and we had a pretty bad grub problem. I had to contact several places for quotes and methods of treating them. Never did find out what they would look like when matured tho. Very interesting that.
