stubby 175
its great to hear, that someone who dont know much is breeding more ferts.... not but Im sure, if he dices up some rabbit they will steam along, just fed mine (4weeks old) and they all ate and are content and asleep, make sure he puts shallow dishes of water in, as it takes a while for them to learn sucking from a water bottle Quote Link to post

Cold Ethyl 63
Poor jill rip girl.He also has to make sure he keep them impecabbly clean to ensure none of then get infections. He should also use some sort of viricide just make sure he rinses this loads. To ensure if it was a bug that killed her that they dont get it or at least lessen their chances. What does he think happened to her? lurcher lass 9
take the kits out of the hutch and run etc, completly scrub in animal friendly disinfectant and antibacterial, ie for hutch use, spray wth mite and lice spray leave to air through - this should be done once a week any way but just really scrub it through now may be an idea to pop a hot watr bottle in for heat at night times and change it regulary, diet combination of minced meat or ftipe, rabbit turkey etc milk and raw egg mixed and water, always be sure their drinking, i personally would bring to vet t check for desiese and to check the kits health out incase they need some formula,am currently hand feeding a kit myself, keeping them warm is a must and well watered ad fed, he'll have work to do though, maybe he should have thought about that before breeding an animal he knew little about i do hope the kits stay well Quote Link to post

billbroon 9
Went out to see kits yesterday 1 has died and the others seem to be going down hill he says he doesnt know whats wrong. so i went to see them this morning again to check up before work and he had sausages for them to eat and they hadnt even been touched, so ive come to the conclusion that with them still being young theve not got the power to rip them up. SO, a went and bought some liver on my dinner brake and put it through a food blender to mush, he was at the pub and i dont have a key so i put some on the end of a kane and popped through the mesh and they started scoffing it down straight away poor wee things looked starving. So when he comes home from pup the night im going to make sure he takes more of an intrest in them because 2,s mine and am not wanting any more off the wee critterz to die. So u could say im in a bad mood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to post
