mjr88 50
I was just wondering if there is a ' ferreting season ' The reason i'm asking is that my dad is thinking of taking up this sport again after many years of absence and he has never heard of a ' ferreting season' before , Many thanks , John Edited May 21, 2009 by mjr88 Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
September to March traditionally, if you dont mind digging, all year round. Edited May 21, 2009 by stealthy1 Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
As Stealthy says, Is the "best" Time to go, but there is no official season. It is just that the rest of the year there are babies in the burrow which will mean a lot of digging, and also the undergrowth and stinging nettles are covering all the holes, which is nigh on impossible to net with purse nets, not to mention a tad painfull. But each to their own. Best of luck. Quote Link to post
