hi all i am doing a project at college i have been given the task to do a project on something i know about and enjoy so i have done it on methods of fox control i would like as many opinions on different methods of fox control as possible pros and cons and past experiences anything u can think of would be a great help thanks all look forward to reading replies

As Stubby says, it depends on the situation as well.

 

I would also differentiate between hunting with hounds, and hunting with dogs (IMO there is a huge difference between 17 and a half couple of foxhounds killing a fox, and a single lurcher).

 

You also need to differentiate the methods a bit more. Snaring, Cage Trapping, Shooting with a centrefire rifle, shooting with a shotgun etc...

 

Oh, and next time you are in college, look up the spelling of the word 'before'........... lol

ok can i just add that the assignment is comparing three types of fox control live trapping, shooting with rifle and hunting with hounds and it isn't urban it is farm land or organised shoot thanks.

hunting with dogs isnt banned its just got a few restictions on it ie only 2 dogs and flussing to guns and terrierwork is still legal

Why not work on your project and then post it here for comment ? I think it would be interesting to read your analysis of the different methods; the pros and cons, the options etc.

good idea but the whole project is too research different opinions about different techniques of fox control so not really going to work like that but thanks anyway [bANNED TEXT]
